Despite their game being updated to the latest version available, Catan Universe players are getting “Your App is outdated” and they are unable to log in to this game.

What is the “Your app is outdated” error in Catan universe Game?
In one of the previous articles Catan Universe not working, we have discussed various different issues with this online multiplayer board game and what troubleshooting steps you can follow to fix these errors.
But recently lots of players have come across a few new issues where the Catan Universe app constantly repeats the “Your app is outdated” message, even tho players have installed the latest version installed on their phones.
This is not the only issue happening recently, there are a few other bugs, the most prominent of them is log error, where players are unable to log in to the game.
Here is what players have reported so far –
- Brad Polsky on Twitter reported that he was not able to log in, just like everyone else. He did try deleting and reinstalling the game but after that, all of his progress was gone.
- KungFupandaTwet on Twitter reported that he is seeing the message “Your app is outdated, please” but there is no new update on the iOS app store.
- Matt Kirk another player also faces the same issue where the app keeps repeating the same line that the app needs to be updated. But, there is no update available on the app store. If there is no update, how can he update?

How to Fix Catan Universe “App outdated” and Log in Error
It seems that developers are aware of the issues since most of these problems are happening during and after the launching of the latest version.
The issue is linked with the last update, it’s quite possible that developers did make changes on their server for the latest version but haven’t pushed it on the app store.
In any case, the only possible workaround for this issue is reinstalling the game from scratch.
Just make sure to log in using the same account after you install the game again, otherwise, all of the progress you have made in this game will be scratched and you will need to start from scratch again.
Remember it’s just a workaround, there is a chance that you might face this problem again.
Until developers do decide to fix this problem permanently there is no way for you to completely avoid it.
