How to Fix Unable to Establish Connection in Helldivers 2

There are basically two ways you can solve error establishing connection error in this game: First is by doing network reset and second is by using OpenDNS.

When you perform the network reset it will fix any temporary glitch between you network and gaming server.

This is simple and Ideal solution if you did get error only one time.

However, even after network reset you are getting same error again and again you can use the Open DNS method instead.

Here is both of these methods:

Method 1: The Network Reset

  1. Search for “cmd” in your Windows search bar. Right-click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as Administrator”.
  2. Enter the following commands, pressing Enter after each one:
    • netsh winsock reset
    • netsh int ip reset all
    • netsh winhttp reset proxy
    • ipconfig /flushdns
  3. Restart your computer and try connecting to Helldivers 2 again.

Method 2: Using the Open DNS

In this method, you need to change your DNS to Open DNS to avoid any connection issues with Helldivers 2 in the future. Here is how you can change the DNS to Open DNS on your Windows PC:

  1. Right-click on the network icon in your taskbar and choose “Open Network & Internet Settings.”
  2. Click on “Change adapter options.”
  3. Right-click on your active network connection (like Wi-Fi) and select “Properties.”
  4. Double-click on “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).”
